The 2025 season has just ended at the Fontdouce Adventure Park and it’s the perfect opportunity to take stock of this year full of challenges and emotions! Between Saintes and Cognac, in Charente-Maritime, the park opened its doors from April to November as every year, with a multitude of outdoor activities on offer, for outings with family, friends or for company team-building with colleagues.
Here we look back at the highlights of the 2025 season, the new features, the key figures, the commitment to groups and companies, and the outlook for 2026.
A strong attendance right from the start of the season
The official opening of the 2025 season took place on April 5th. From the start, the team was ready to welcome families, friends, and groups. Thanks to adapted opening hours (mornings for groups, afternoons for individuals), our treetop adventure park was able to welcome a large number of visitors from La Rochelle, Niort, Angoulême, Royan, and many other towns in Charente-Maritime..
The weather, sometimes unpredictable in spring, did not dampen the enthusiasm of visitors, and even less so the motivation of the team, always happy to see you again at each season launch!
What’s new and what’s to come in 2025
This season, the park team wanted to highlight several major strengths of its offering as well as some new features:
- The heart of the site’s activity remains the treetop adventure park the treetop adventure park: 13 courses adapted to all ages (from 3 years old) in a remarkable forest setting.
- Two giant zip lines, each 200m long, continue to offer thrilling experiences.
- Group and corporate activities, particularly team building, have been expanded. The “Totem Odyssey” activity has become a key moment for team cohesion: sporting, mental, and agility challenges… all in a unique natural setting ! (A far cry from white sand beaches, we admit.)
- Outdoor Laser Tag, Archery Tag, Bubble Football, and the new interactive rallies have been a resounding success, whether for days out with friends, birthdays or team-building sessions in the great outdoors. Haven’t tried them yet?! What are you waiting for?
- The arrival of our new test courses and video briefing which makes it easier to understand the safety rules.
And this year again, our range of activities has appealed to families as well as companies coming from La Rochelle, Niort, Angoulême, Saintes or Cognac.
Figures and attendance
In 2024, the park recorded over 27,000 visitors across all its activities. This 2025 season, Fontdouce Adventure Park has once again surpassed the symbolic milestone of 27,000 visitors, confirming its appeal to families, groups, and businesses from across the region.
Your favorite activity this year, besides treetop adventure courses, was outdoor laser tag! A great way to have fun while being surrounded by nature. We couldn’t agree more!
As for the treetop adventure course, it remains the park’s main activity by far, with over 20,000 visitors. More than 55% of this year’s attendance was between July and August thanks to our opening hours of 10am to 8pm!
The visitor numbers recorded again this season confirm that the Fontdouce Adventure Park is a key player in the Charente and Charente-Maritime regions. Vistiors from Niort, La Rochelle or Bordeaux take advantage of the strategic location to spend a day in nature, in the heart of the centuries-old oak forest near Fontdouce Abbey.
Quality, safety and environmental commitment
Here at Fontdouce Adventure Park, safety is one of our top priorities, as it is every year. This year, you were able to discover our new test courses, built last winter during the closure. These new features were complemented by a redesigned video briefing, clearer and more engaging, which guided you throughout the season. Customer feedback has also been very positive regarding the welcome, the supervision, and the cleanliness of the facilities—all criteria that regularly appear in reviews!
The setting is also frequently praised in reviews due to its unique configuration in Charente-Maritime, nestled between vineyards, woods, and a grassy valley. This setting allows visitors to recharge while enjoying sporting or recreational activities.
On the services side, the possibility of light meals, picnics, all in shaded and well-equipped areas like our Lounge Nature with its terraces on stilts, makes the park a leisure destination for a full day — a decisive advantage for families or groups coming from cities like Angoulême, Royan or La Rochelle who have to allow a little driving time!
Focus on groups & team building
2025 will have confirmed that the park is a true benchmark for group outings, seminars, and corporate events. This season alone, more than 70 companies have chosen to organize their seminars or team-building days here!
This represents over 1,000 people who competed in our Team Building activity, the Totem Odyssey. If your team hasn’t yet won its medal, it’s time to organize your next team building in Fontdouce !
The “team building” offering deserves special mention as it significantly contributes to the park’s growth among these audiences. Thanks to a dedicated team and suitable facilities with rooms for rent, and thanks to high-quality activities and the possibility of organizing meals within the abbey or on our stilted terraces, the park has established itself as a key player for corporate events in Charente-Maritime.
But this season also marked a concrete step forward in the launch of our new activity, The Conspiracy. A new immersive experience where your role matters, and where all betrayals are possible… Ready to take on the challenge in 2026?
