Discovery Tour – 1 hour

Ideal for beginners. After a briefing and a few minutes of training, set off to explore the accessible trails around Fontdouce: small country roads and dirt tracks will quickly help you gain confidence. Gradual thrills, instant enjoyment and stunning natural scenery await!

Perfect for testing your discipline and discovering new sensations.

Exploration Tour – 1 hour 30 minutes

A more immersive route, alternating between forest paths, vineyard trails and nature trails. This route is also a little more challenging and requires you to feel more comfortable on your bike. You pick up speed, start to really ‘ride’ on different types of trails and enjoy the natural surroundings and diversity of the routes.

Adventure Course – 2 hours

A complete experience featuring a longer and more varied route, combining hills, technical trails and long, flowing stretches. Here, you get a feeling very similar to snowboarding or surf carving! You’ll enjoy not only the thrill of the activity itself, but also the natural environment and the different landscapes you’ll discover along the way.

The Sternboard electric skateboard provides a unique sensation of gliding and freedom. Thanks to its wide board, stability and powerful electric motor, it offers smooth acceleration, ultra-natural carving turns, a surfing sensation on dry land and intuitive control of movement.

You lean, you carve, you feel the ground beneath your wheels. It’s dynamic without being inaccessible. Powerful without being brutal. Even without any skateboarding experience, you’ll quickly get the hang of it. But for fans of surfing, snowboarding or other board sports… it’s a revelation.

The history of the Stern Board

The Sternboard electric skateboard was born in Bordeaux from the passion for board sports and innovation of two young engineers. Designed to replicate the sensations of surfing and snowboarding on land, it combines electric technology and stable design to offer an experience accessible to all.

The idea? To allow everyone to rediscover that feeling of freedom, carving and flow, even far from the waves or snow-covered slopes. Today, this new generation of all-terrain electric skateboards is coming to Fontdouce to offer an innovative, fun activity focused on outdoor adventure.

What is a Sternboard or all-terrain electric skateboard?

The Sternboard is a new generation all-terrain electric skateboard that combines stability, power and manoeuvrability. Ideal for gliding along forest paths or country trails, it offers a unique way to explore Charente and Charente-Maritime.

What is the difference between this and a conventional electric skateboard?

Unlike traditional electric skateboards, the Sternboard is designed for all-terrain use: wide wheels, powerful motor and increased stability on trails, vineyard paths and undergrowth.

Is the Sternboard suitable for beginners?

Yes! Fontdouce’s all-terrain electric skateboards are easy to learn. A briefing and a short introductory session will help you get familiar with the board, even if you’ve never ridden an electric skateboard before. When we tested the activity, most of the team had never been on a skateboard, surfboard or snowboard before… but everyone had a blast!

How does renting a Stern Board at Fontdouce work?

Verification that everyone is over 14 years old. At least one person in the group must have a driving licence. Then you choose the route you want to download to your phone using the Komoot app. We take a deposit of €500. Then we move on to the briefing and a first test under the supervision of one of our instructors. And finally, it’s your turn!

What courses are offered at Fontdouce?

We offer three courses tailored to individual preferences and levels:

The introductory course – 1 hour
The exploration tour – 1 hour 30 minutes
The adventure course – 2 hours

What is the maximum speed of the Sternboard?

Our boards are secured and limited to 25 km/h, ensuring a safe all-terrain electric skateboarding experience for all participants.

Do you need special equipment to ride an electric skateboard?

No, all safety equipment is provided: helmet, knee pads and elbow pads. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.

Can we organise group outings or team building activities with electric skateboards?

Yes, all-terrain electric skateboards are perfect for group outings, stag/hen parties, seminars or team building events. They offer a unique and unifying experience in the heart of Charente-Maritime.

Can children use a Sternboard electric skateboard?

Our courses are suitable for young people aged 14 and over, accompanied by an adult with a driving licence.

Do you need to book to use an electric skateboard in Fontdouce?

Yes, we recommend booking in advance to guarantee the availability of Sternboard electric skateboards and slots suitable for your group. We currently only have 5 Sternboards available, and they are going fast…

Can a Sternboard electric skateboard be used on all types of terrain?

Our all-terrain electric skateboards are designed for forest paths, vineyards, country lanes and the valleys around Fontdouce, but they are not intended for use on high-speed tarmac roads.

How many people can participate at the same time?

We have 5 Sternboard electric skateboards available. For larger groups, simply combine the skateboards with our 15 all-terrain electric scooters.
