The first floor of this former wine cellar is ideal for meetings and presentations with screenings. Thanks to its extension, called l'espace André, this room offers a separate area for breakfast or lunch, depending on your requirements.

Monks' hall
With a surface area of 360 m², it is the largest room in the abbey! This room, recently revealed thanks to archaeological excavations, was used as the monastery's writing workshop, the scriptorium. Used for both meetings and meals, it is adjacent to a fully equipped catering area.

Chapter house
The chapter house is without doubt THE room our guests love most. Its vaulted ceilings, columns and exterior opening give a pastoral, timeless feel to your cocktails or buffets.

The low cellar is the perfect place to host your meetings, parties or meals! Its ashlar walls and vaults give this room the charm, character and freshness of the past. The room has underfloor heating.

It's the perfect way to extend your stay in the Charente-Maritime region. Please note that the 40 beds are in shared rooms. How many people can you accommodate for a seminar at Fontdouce?
At Fontdouce, we have spaces for groups of all sizes, depending on the needs of your seminar. The largest reception room at Fontdouce Abbey can accommodate up to 350 people in a conference format; we can even arrange for the site to be fully privatised if you wish to invite even more people and take advantage of all the facilities Fontdouce has to offer. As far as activities are concerned, we can combine our 12 offers for very large groups to enable all participants to make the most of the site over a full day with team-building activities that suit them.
I have all kinds of profiles in my company. Do you have any activities suitable for all ages and physical conditions when organising a seminar?
Yes, at Fontdouce we have activities to suit all profiles. From cultural outings to thrilling activities, there’s something for everyone. Some activities, such as our legendary Team Building activity, Totem Odyssey, have been specially designed to meet the needs of companies and the wide range of profiles within professional groups. The activities are modular and accessible to all. Everyone is free to step aside for 5 minutes if one of the challenges seems too complicated.
Can you organise external service providers (such as caterers, DJs, photographers, furniture hire companies, decorators, etc.) for our seminar?
Yes, we have a large list of service providers for you to choose from if you want to keep control of the various services. On the other hand, if you want a turnkey organisation of your seminar and no management on the big day, we take charge of the entire event. All you have to do is approve our proposals and let us guide you!
On what days and at what times can you welcome business groups for seminars?
We can welcome professional groups for a seminar any day of the year, and we will adapt to your programme to define the times.
When would you recommend holding a seminar at Fontdouce?
To make the most of Fontdouce’s magnificent outdoor spaces, we strongly advise you to plan your seminar between April and November. May, June, July, August and September are often the mildest months in terms of weather, but we can have some nice surprises on the wings of the season!
