How to get to Fontdouce from Niort?
To come and try out the Fontdouce treetop adventure course from Angoulême, there are several options available to you. The most straightforward is to take the D939 towards St Jean d’Angély and Niort: leave Angoulême via the N141 (the national road linking Cognac to Angoulême), then at the St Yrieix sur Charente exit, turn onto the D939. Pass through Rouillac, then at Matha take the D121 towards Burie via Thors. You will pass through the village of Burie towards Saintes and St Bris des Bois. After leaving Burie, continue for 3 km and you will see the sign for Fontdouce Adventure Park on your right. Turn right, following the sign, and after 200 metres you will reach the car park entrance to Fontdouce Adventure Park and Fontdouce Abbey on your right. It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get here from Angoulême via this route.
The other option for travelling to Fontdouce from Niort is to take the A10 motorway. To do this, head to Avenue de Limoges east of Niort and take motorway junction 32, then continue on the motorway towards Saintes. Exit at junction 35 (Saintes) and follow the signs for Cognac. Once on the road to Cognac, head towards La Chapelle des Pots, which you will cross in the direction of Burie. Then cross St Bris des Bois-Les Bujoliers and continue towards Burie. About 3 km after leaving St Bris des Bois-Les Bujoliers, you will see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left. Follow the direction indicated by the sign, take a small road, continue for 200 m and you will see the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park on your right. Allow about 1 hour to get there from Niort via this route.
How to get to the entrance of Fontdouce Adventure Park from the Fontdouce Abbey car park
The car park is located above Fontdouce Abbey. Once parked, head to the Fontdouce Adventure Park reception on the opposite side of the valley. Walk down from the car park towards Fontdouce Abbey, then turn left and follow the road you came in on. The reception area is located on the hillside just before the tree-top adventure park.
