How to get to Fontdouce from Poitiers?
This route takes you back to a very ancient time, as it follows an old Roman road, the one that connected Poitiers to Saintes, There’s an almost straight route between Poitiers and Saintes. To get there, leave Poitiers on the RN10 towards Angoulême, then after Fontaine-le-Comte, turn onto the D611 towards Lusignan. Continue past Melle, Aulnay, and Varaize until you reach the D731; at this intersection, turn left towards Brizambourg, and in the center of Brizambourg, turn right towards St. Bris des Bois. Once in St. Bris des Bois, turn left towards Burie and continue for 3 km. You will then see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left. Follow the signs, turning left onto a small road, continue for 200 m, and you will see the Fontdouce Adventure Park parking lot on your right. Allow approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to travel from Poitiers via this route.
The fastest way to get to Fontdouce Adventure Park from Poitiers is to take the A10 motorway from the interchange south of Poitiers, heading towards Saintes and Bordeaux. Continue for approximately 100 km and take exit 34 towards Cognac. Follow the signs for Cognac until you reach St Hilaire de Villefranche, where you should turn left, still following the signs for Cognac, until you reach Brizambourg. In Brizambourg, turn right in the middle of the village towards St Bris des Bois. Once in St Bris des Bois, turn left towards Burie and continue for 3 km. You will then see the Fontdouce Adventure Park sign on your left. Follow the signs, turning left onto a small road, continue for 200 m, and you will see the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park on your right. The journey from Poitiers to Fontdouce Adventure Park takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
How to reach the reception area of the Fontdouce Adventure Park from the car park:
Once parked, head towards the reception area of the Fontdouce Adventure Park, located on the opposite side of the valley. Walk down the parking lot towards Fontdouce Abbey, then turn left to cross the road you arrived on. The reception area will then appear on the hillside just before the treetop adventure course.
