How to get to Fontdouce from Royan?
Coming from Royan, the simplest and most direct route when traffic is light is to head towards Saintes, passing through Médis and Saujon. Take the N150 and, when you reach Saintes, follow signs for Cognac and Angoulême. Bypass Saintes via the ring road, then leave the ring road and follow signs for Cognac and Angoulême. Once on the road to Cognac and Angoulême, head towards La Chapelle des Pots, which you will cross in the direction of Burie and St Bris des Bois. You will also cross St Bris des Bois in the direction of Burie and drive for 3 km before seeing the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left. Then take the road indicated on the left, following the sign, drive 200 metres and you will find the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park on your right.
During peak season, traffic in Royan can sometimes be complicated. Secondary routes are therefore preferable for leaving Royan if you want to avoid traffic jams. The first option is to leave Royan via St Georges de Didonne, then Semussac, Corme Ecluse and join the N150 at St Romain de Benet, continuing on to Saintes. Then, simply follow the directions above once you arrive in Saintes.

The car park is located above Fontdouce Abbey. Once parked, head to the Fontdouce Adventure Park reception on the opposite side of the valley. Walk down from the car park towards Fontdouce Abbey, then turn left to cross the road you arrived on. The reception area will then appear on the hillside just before the tree-top adventure park.
