Meetings, lunches, cocktail parties, company parties—a wide variety of events are possible thanks to the different spaces available on site: starting with the Nature Lounge, where you can enjoy a meal in the heart of the forest, or the various rooms of Fontdouce Abbey, where our catering partners can offer tailored services for cocktails and/or meals. And to avoid returning home the same evening after a busy day, you can extend your stay in this magnificent haven of peace by relaxing in one of our two gîtes, which together offer 40 beds.
How do I get to Fontdouce Adventure Park from Poitiers for my teambuilding event?
To get to Fontdouce from Poitiers, the least expensive route in terms of time is to take the A10 motorway towards Saintes and Bordeaux.
You will then need to exit at St Jean d’Angély, exit n°34, towards Cognac, and continue towards Cognac by turning left at St Hilaire de Villefranche and continuing until Brizambourg.
In the centre of the town of Brizambourg, you follow St Bris des Bois on the right and you drive until you arrive at St Bris des Bois; once you arrive at St Bris des Bois, you turn left to go to Burie and after 3km, you see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left.
Following the signs, take the local road that goes off to the left and you will reach the Fontdouce car park after 200m, on your right; it takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to come from Poitiers by this route.
Start with a dive into history with this route which takes you back to a very distant time since it takes you along an old Roman road, the one that connected Limonum (Poitiers) to Mediolanum Santonum (Saintes), an almost straight line between Poitiers and Saintes.
To do this, leave Poitiers on the RN10 towards Angoulême, then after Fontaine Le Comte, turn onto the D611 towards Lusignan. Continue past Melle, Aulnay, and Varaize until you reach the D731, which is the Cognac-Niort road; at this intersection, turn left towards Brizambourg, and in the center of Brizambourg, turn right towards St Bris des Bois.
Once in St Bris des Bois, turn left towards Burie and continue for 3 km, you will then see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left.
A small country road branches off to your left and by following it, you will reach the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park located on your right.
It takes approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach Fontdouce from Poitiers via this route.
How to reach the reception area of the Fontdouce Adventure Park from the car park:
Leave your car in the parking lot and continue on foot downhill towards the buildings of Fontdouce Abbey, which you will pass on your left to reach the reception area of the Fontdouce Adventure Park, located in a cabin you will see on your left. Now, start warming up; your team building activity will begin soon!
