How to get to Fontdouce Adventure Park from Bordeaux?
To get from Bordeaux to the Fontdouce tree climbing course, the easiest route is to take the A10 motorway towards Paris. To do this, simply take the Bordeaux ring road (A630) and then the motorway towards Saintes and Paris. Then, about 88 km after leaving Bordeaux, take exit 35 at Saintes, follow signs for Cognac and Angoulême, bypass Saintes via the ring road, exit the ring road following signs for Cognac and Angoulême, and 1 km after leaving the ring road, follow signs for La Chapelle des Pots. After passing through La Chapelle des Pots, continue towards St Bris des Bois, then Burie. Between Burie and St Bris des Bois, 3 km from St Bris des Bois, you will see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your left. follow the direction indicated by the sign, take a small road, drive 200 m and you will see the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park on your right. Allow about 1.5 hours to get there from Bordeaux via this route.
Are you leaving Bordeaux and want to avoid toll roads? No problem! You can reach us by taking national roads directly from Bordeaux. To do so, from the Bordeaux ring road, head towards Saintes and Paris. 16 km after leaving the Bordeaux ring road, take exit 39b towards Angoulême via the N10. Continue on the N10 to Barbezieux for 52 km, then head towards Cognac. Continue to Cognac, then bypass Cognac by turning towards Saintes, then Saint Jean d’Angély and Niort. Follow the signs for St Jean d’Angély and Niort until you reach Burie; at the traffic lights in Burie, turn left towards Saintes and St Bris des Bois. After leaving Burie, continue for 3 km and you will see the sign for the Fontdouce Adventure Park on your right. Follow the direction indicated by the sign, taking the small road on the right, continue for 200 m and you will arrive at the Fontdouce Adventure Park car park on your right. Allow approximately 2 hours for this journey from Bordeaux.
How do I get to the Adventure Park reception area on foot from the parking lot?
After parking your car, head to the Fontdouce Adventure Park reception on the opposite side of the valley. To get there, walk along the parking lot towards Fontdouce Abbey, then turn left to cross the road you arrived on. The reception area is located on the hillside just before the tree-top adventure park. Now your adventure can begin!
