The most direct is to take the D650 south of Niort, towards Saintes and Cognac, then, from St Hilaire de Villefranche, simply follow the signs for Cognac. When you reach Brizambourg, leave the Cognac road and turn right in the center of the village towards St Bris des Bois. When you reach St Bris des Bois, turn left towards Burie, continue for 3 km and you will see the sign for “Parc Aventure de Fontdouce” on your left! You’re almost there! Take the small road on your left, drive 200 meters, and you will arrive at the Fontdouce Abbey parking lot on your right. Allow about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there from Niort via this route.
Another way to get to the Fontdouce tree climbing park from Niort is to take the A10 highway. To do this, leave Niort via Avenue de Limoges to the east of Niort, take highway interchange 32 and continue south (following signs for Bordeaux) until you reach Saintes. Take junction 35 to exit at Saintes and follow signs for Cognac. From the Cognac road, simply turn onto La Chapelle des Pots. Drive through La Chapelle des Pots towards Burie, then pass St Bris des Bois-Les Bujoliers and continue towards Burie. About 3 km after leaving St Bris des Bois-Les Bujoliers, you will see the sign for Parc Aventure de Fontdouce on your left. Follow the direction indicated by the sign onto a small road, drive 200 m and you will see the Parc Aventure de Fontdouce car park on your right. Allow about 1 hour to get there from Niort via this route.

The parking lot is located above Fontdouce Abbey. Once parked, walk towards the Fontdouce Adventure Park reception area located on the opposite side of the valley: walk along the parking lot towards Fontdouce Abbey, then turn left to cross the road you arrived on. Great experience, we spent half a day with friends at the park doing accrobranche, the team is very friendly and available for any questions or anything else! I can’t recommend a more sporting day out in the middle of the forest, you’re cut off from the world and it’s a real treat!

An excellent day in a very pleasant spot where you can stay in the sun or under the shelter of the trees! The accrobranche activity is top-notch and great value for money: numerous courses, different difficulties and the two big zip lines to do over and over again! The staff are very welcoming and smiling, and I wish you all the best for the future.

Do it again! Lots of courses and great zip lines. All the tree climbing is in the shade, which is great in summer! You can spend the whole day there, and there are picnic tables.
