The most peaceful is to take the D650 south of Niort, towards Saintes and Cognac, then, from St Hilaire de Villefranche, follow signs for Cognac. Then, at St Bris des Bois, turn left towards Burie, continue for 3 km and you will see the sign for ‘Parc Aventure de Fontdouce’ on your left! You’re almost there! It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there from Niort via this route.

Walk down from the car park towards the buildings of Fontdouce Abbey below, then turn left to cross the small road that runs alongside the car park and then climb up the other side: you will see the reception on your left in the form of a small hut on the hillside.
